You may be asking, why there is such a wide spread of ranges. It comes down to how fast the battery is drained:

• Elevation: Inclines require more power to be delivered to the motor. This means the more hills you go up, the faster your battery will drain.
• Setting: If the motor is in Eco mode, it will consume less power compared to Super Boost mode which consumes the most. The more assist you need, the more the battery drains
• Battery Health: The more you use the battery, the smaller its capacity gets. We recommend frequent charges to at least 80% to prolong its lifespan

Any problems with the motor, battery, controller or rear wheel up to a year after the date of installation are covered by the warranty. 

This does not include water damage so we urge you to take care of your battery when there’s rain

Converted bikes and e-bikes give people the opportunity to cycle which they may not have done without the additional assist

Now you may be incredibly fit and have no need for help cycling Good for you! That is very impressive and we salute your athleticism. But others may need a little Boost to get them going and that’s ok

One example is Miss Roberts who likes to cycle down the hill to her local shop every morning to get the paper. But her 74 year old legs struggle to make it back up the hill. So she decided to convert her bike and now she’s whizzing up the hill – I don’t think you can conquering that hill cheating

Boost is extremely safe. It has been regulated and tested multiple times and it complies with the UK’s laws surrounding conversion kits and e-bikes

The motor only starts working after you start pedalling so it won’t jolt you off your bike

It also doesn’t ramp up to the max speed immediately, it increases its assist according to the speed your going at and adjusts accordingly

One major issues other “questionable” kits are having is charging. If a charging cable of a different voltage to the battery is used, it can trip the battery and cause a fire. Boost includes a tried and tested charger and strongly suggests purchasing replacement chargers directly from them to avoid unwanted issues. 

The beauty of a conversion kit is you can choose if you want to use the assist or not

If you want the assist, by all means take advantage of the extra Boost

But sometimes you may want to go assist free and feel the burn. To achieve this, simply remove the battery before setting off and leave it at home. This will reduce the weight of the bike and stops the assist kicking in

Light/medium rain is unlikely to cause a problem

But under heavy rain, we highly suggest to cover the battery as it could be damaged – battery covers are available.

Some conversion kits stick out a bit and arent’t particularly glamourous

Also you can usually spot an e-bike pretty easily due to their bulkier frames

Boost kits don’t have these problems. The battery is small and conspicuous, looking more like a drinks bottle from afar rather than a battery

The motor is built into the rear-wheel, making it look like a fancy braking system
